Mrs. Ethel May Sims entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a brief illness.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Vivian & Edgar Campbell. She was a life-long member of Chestnut Ridge AME Zion Church where she served as a Deaconess.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Deborah Sims, one son Clarence Timothy Sims, and one brother Ricky Campbell.
Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her husband of 52 years Clyde D. Sims, one sister Louise Campbell, one son Lawrence Sims, six grandchildren, Timothy (Olivia) Flucker, Clarence (Ronald) Glenn Alarcon, Alicia Sims, Brunashia Gilree, Tauneshia Gilree, Clarence T. Sims; six great-grandchildren, Genesis Flucker, Kaiden Wilson, Viviana Glenn Alarcon, Tristan Shields, Kamarii Glenn, Timothy S. Flucker Jr., an adopted grandson Brandon Drummond, two daughter in laws; Chancey Glenn, Carla Gilree, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Chestnut Ridge AME Zion Church in Pauline, South Carolina, with burial at the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of her granddaughter, 274 Collins Avenue, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
