Mrs. Judy Dye Clowney Garvin, was born August 11, 1954 and passed away after an illness at the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late Bertha Dye Anderson and granddaughter of the late Bill and Alma Dye.
Judy was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, class of 1974 and was part-owner of Import Auto, LLC. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Maxwell Chapel Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: her devoted husband, Rev. Dr. McKelvie Garvin of Spartanburg, South Carolina; one brother, Otis Dye, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; two sisters, Margaret Kelly of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Christine Oglesby of Woodruff, South Carolina; two stepdaughters, Bernice (Nathan) Cunningham, Ruth (Joey) Davis, one stepson Mendes (Michele) Garvin, two aunts, Frances Dye of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Phenie (Moses) Golatt of Richmond, Virginia; two sisterly, Geraldine Dye and Eula Garvin Riley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by a brother, William Frank Parker.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00p.m. (viewing at 12:30p.m.) at Lincoln Memorial, 2256 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, South Carolina.Service
