Minnie Lou Jefferies Washington, 86, was born on August 25, 1935 in Cherokee County to the late Toy Jefferies and the late Ophelia Jefferies Smith and was the widow of Leander Washington.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories; 3 daughters, Geraldine Geter of Jonesville, South Carolina; Wanda Washington, Moore, South Carolina; Beverly (Rodrick) Fowler, Spartanburg, South Carolina; 3 sons, Samuel Jefferies, Jonesville, South Carolina; Leander Washington of Moore, South Carolina; Walter Washington, Spartanburg, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, one aunt, Elizabeth Smith, one sister-in-law, Marjorie Hill Smith, and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by one son, Thomas (Reese) Washington, one grandson, Zarchay Smith, and one great granddaughter, Ava Samuel.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 23rd at 1:00p.m. at Jonesville Memorial Gardens in Jonesville, South Carolina.
