Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Barton Manigan was called home on February 5th, 2022. She was the wife of the late Robert Manigan and was the daughter of the late Mr. Major and Lelar Barton.

Mrs. Manigan was a member of Florence Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as the church treasurer. She was a graduate of Lincoln High school and after graduation she went to work in a clothing store; later worked for District 7 as a teacher's aide and retired after 24 years.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: 2 daughters, Arleen Hardy, and Argatha Manigan, one son Rodney Glenn, one brother, Wilbert Barton, 2 sisters, Louvena Rogers and Betty Jo Keenan, one granddaughter, Tangela M. Cunningham, 2 grandsons, Anthony Hardy and Alan Hardy, one great-son Jayson Alan Hardy, 2 great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Cunningham and Ava Cunningham and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Robert Manigan, one sister, Annie Mae Nash, and one brother, Henry Barton.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Florence Chapel UMC, 340 David Ave., Wellford, South Carolina.
